It is likely located in a room not part of the main living area for odor control, right?<\/p>\n
The door needs to be open to whichever room you have designated as a litterbox room, therefore, odors may traverse the threshold to invade adjacent living areas.<\/p>\n
If you’re like us, your laundry room shares space with the litterbox.\u00a0 Not only do odors permeate adjacent areas, but mechanical noise from the washer \/ dryer also invade your otherwise peaceful environment.<\/p>\n
The other day I had one of those “Ah-Ha” moments in the shower.\u00a0 I get my best ideas in the shower.\u00a0 I thought “Hey!\u00a0 I could put a kitty door in the laundry room door and we can keep the door closed when doing laundry.\u00a0 Problem solved!”<\/p>\n
So that’s exactly what I did.<\/p>\n
Taking the door off, cutting the opening with a jigsaw and installing the trim took a total of maybe 30 minutes.<\/p>\n
The result is perfect.<\/p>\n
And cute too.<\/p>\n
