Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI is used to image the soft tissues in your body. This provides valuable information about your nerves, muscles and organs that could be found out in no other non-surgical manner.. For many people, having an MRI is frightening as hell. Primarily because there’s not a lot of room to maneuver inside the typical MRI.
If you’re claustrophobic, you may want to be pre-medicated. Talk with your doctor in advance. Most imaging facilities these days also have what they call “Open MRI” as an option for the claustrophobics among us. They are C-shaped rather than tubular. Investigate these issues if you do not like confined spaces.
I find MRI machines a great place to take a nap.
