Route 66 – The Mother Road

We have driven various sections of this historic highway a total of four times.

1. The first trip in 1998 took us from Sedona to Meteor City Arizona.

2. Then to Winslow (It’s in a song], so we have to go there)

3. Then to Holbrook Arizona to see / capture the WigWam Motel.

4. I bought a photo of the WigWam motel at an art fair in Sausalito in 1997.

5. The second trip in April 2011 took us from Amarillo Texas to Sedona again. Then south to Scottsdale for a wedding.

6. The Third trip was from Amarillo to Tucumcari – then north to Breckenridge Colorado to do an art show.

7. The last trip was from Amarillo across New Mexico and up to Bluff Utah in August 2020 for a Pandemic Old West Road Trip.

8. The end of that trip would take us to Catoosa Oklahoma to photograph the Catoosa Whale.

And all of this brings us to this point.
