In my research, I found a variety of reviews. Seems some folks have had units with assembly problems. so check yours in the store. Give the head a decent twist while keeping a firm grip on the handle. Seems they only use a couple of tiny nails and a small amount of glue to fasten the head to the handle in some cases. But you don’t want to be scrubbing your back with sharp nails, so test yours well before you leave the store.
