Hand-Held Shower Head

Perhaps more important than any other item you will need for personal hygiene during your recovery is a shower head on a flexible hose.  This will make rinsing yourself so much more convenient – and the therapeutic value of just feeling the water coursing over your body cannot be over-emphasized.  So if you don’t have one already, get one and install it.  It’s a 10 minute install (including removal of the original shower head) and if you do it before your surgery, you’re set when you get home.  They come in chrome, white, brushed nickel and various combinations thereof – and most are adjustable for various intensities and massage-type functions. This is really good for your mental well-being, they’re not expensive – and you’re be nice and clean when you get out of the shower.
