June 19:
- 0412 up, make coffee, settle into living room to work, since main workstation is waiting for a new hard drive.
- 0415: Norco for pain in lower left back radiating down back of left leg
- 0600: Morphine
- Work on blog until 0727 hrs.
- 164.1 lbs
- 0814 – 0852 nice 38 minute walk around the development under dramatic, cloudy, ominous skies with birds and bunnies galore. We even saw another baby Mockingbird sitting in someone’s driveway looking terribly confused.
- 0859: Robaxin & Valium for muscle spasm in upper mid back.
- Have I mentioned I’m 5’11” since the surgery? That’s a huge improvement for my psyche!
- Also, my pain levels and mobility are excellent I feel so much better than I expected to for only 2 weeks after such a major surgery. Trying to keep my pain meds to a minimum, get a little exercise and even though my Doctor doesn’t want me on any major Rehab program for another 3 months (downside of RA is we take a lot longer to heal bones…) I insisted I wanted to get my brain re-calibrated so it knows when my spine is straight. So it’s off to my 1st Rehab eval this morning!
- Rest of the day goes pretty well. I think the 38 minute walk + Rehab was a bit much. So I needed a couple of cat naps during the day. Need to take it slower until I’m up to more exertion.
- Looking forward to regular rehab so I can re-educate my brain about my new structural condition. I desperately want to be properly aligned and not compensating for a twisted spine like I did for so many decades before.
