Making Physical and Emotional Progress
Exercise is critical. Start out with the Theraband exercises given to you in the hospital
Also, if you’re having edema, you must keep your feet elevated at least 2 hours a day. You want this excess fluid re-processed out of your system as quickly as possible. You’ll be a lot more comfortable.
Remember: If at any point, you don’t feel OK and think something is wrong – or you’re not progressing the way you think you should be – CALL YOUR DOCTOR. They Want to hear from you. You have had Major surgery. Things can go wrong, but it’s much better for everyone if any problems are caught and rectified early on.
