Appreciate the beauty around you.

Look UP occasionally.

Look DOWN too.

Some magical minutiae exists around us everywhere. Little things that don’t seem like much, but when discovered can bring you much joy. Mother Nature provides an endless bounty of beauty – sometimes in the most unlikely of places.  Even the discards of our society can create

• A ladybug on your arm.
• A little bird singing.
• A flower struggling to survive in winter.
• An unusual variety of mushroom lurking in your garden.
• A beautifully colored fall leaf.
• Leaf prints in the concrete after the rain.
• Squirrels frolicking around a tree.
• Afternoon sun bringing a warm glow to a child’s face.
• Cracks in the sidewalk that create a face.
• Children’s chalk creations on a sidewalk.
• A hawk gliding overhead.
• A heart shaped leaf.
• A vibrant oak gall in the grass.
• Kids and dogs playing.
• A cat enjoying a patch of sun.

 

Remember:

• You are never too old to play in the fall leaves.
• Even ugliness and decay can contain beauty.
• Even the most unlikely of discoveries can contain beauty.
• Point of View is everything.  Look for the beauty in all things.

So take time out to look around this year. Show us your discoveries and the joy they bring you.
