No place has skies like Texas.

There is nothing to get in the way, for the most part.

So we have a generally uninterrupted expanse of sky from north to south and east to west.

And we get all the amazing cloud formations except for lenticulars.

We have a spectacular variety of cumulus, alto cumulus, stratus, shelf, wall, anvil and rope clouds along with the occasional sun dog to entertain us.

Because we have no solitary mountain over which one would form.

But we get all the rest and it is stunning.

I’ve been amassing weather images for decades.  And this gallery has quite an assortment of beautiful cloud formations.

As always, everything you see is available for purchase.  All you have to do is ask.
