2009 4th of July Fireworks

Addison Fireworks 2009 # 11
I had been ambivalent about shooting the local fireworks this year, as I’ve done this lots of times and wasn’t really interested in shooting them again, but a fan called me and mentioned how he was looking forward to my shots of this year’s Independence Day shots and that made up my mind for me.
We were in Addison on the 3rd, with a terrible vantage point from my mother-in-law’s house, so I decided to use a completely different approach (more creative) in capturing the event and you can see the slideshow at http://www.warrenharris.net/addison09/
Then, having made arrangements with the people at Frisco Square, we parked ourselves on top of the C1 building that houses Matitos and Lochrann’s for the 4th of July event at Pizza Hut Park and came away with a substantial collection of new material which you can see here: http://www.warrenharris.net/2009frisco4th/
