D-Art Slam Show

by on May.29, 2009, under Events, News

D-Art Slam was a great opportunity to meet other artists, view some spectacular creative concepts and have a lot of fun.  We felt the show to be a success, in selling 2 large, mounted prints (better than some, not as good as other artists).  So all-in-all, we had a great time!

I have been selected to exhibit in the D Art Slam event in May at f.i.g. (Fashion Industry Gallery) in Dallas.  This event is sponsored by D Magazine and will feature over 125 local artists.  See their  website  (http://d-artslam.com/) for details.

Who:

You, me and about 125 other local artists.

What:

Art in all forms, displayed in one of the most remarkable galleries in Dallas.

When:

May 29 – 11 AM to 7 PM
May 30 – 11 AM to 7 PM
May 31 – 11 AM to 4 PM

Where:

Fashion Industry Gallery
1807 Ross Ave. Dallas
(adjacent to the Dallas Museum of Art)

Why:

To support The Arts, of course!

Come down and support the Arts.

The Girls and Cars of Texas

Kelsey and the 2008 Caliber SRT4

I’m working on a new coffee table book (actually two books, but this post only applies to one of them), currently in “Beta”, which you can see at my office / studio and at D-Art Slam the end of May.  ”The Girls and Cars of Texas” combines two of my favorite subjects into one book and if you like either girls or cars, I think you’ll like it too.  From Model T’s to Ford GT’s, this book will include some of the coolest examples of automotive engineering – and some of the hottest girls — in Texas.

The website is: www.girlsandcarsoftexas.com

If you’d like to be part of this project, I will include your classic or custom vehicle (at my discretion) for a modest shooting fee.  I’m looking for killer rides with spectacular paint.  If you’re a model and would like to be a part of this project, the same applies.  For a modest shooting fee, you too can be included in this historic book.  Contact me if you’re interested.  If anyone has any contacts with ZZ Top, I’d like to speak with them about this project, so let me know.
